Is Delivery Important?
Marketing
Over the last few weeks you've read my thoughts on...
* The Need for a Marketing Plan & Budget plus
* Constructing a Marketing Plan & Budget
But what about the delivery of your Marketing Plan... because that’s where the rubber really hits the road?
Well, the ducks that you have to get into line are... the right way, the right audience, the right message, the right person and the right time says Daniel Levis.
I purposely jumbled the order to start you thinking but here’s what works.
* The Right Person...
* Communicating the Right Message...
* To the Right Audience...
* At the Right Time...
* In the Right Way.
You might immediately ask who is the Right Person?... and the answer should now jump straight out of your marketing plan. In truth it could be a number of your people using a number of your marketing weapons... but more on that next week.
Overall, you need to have a "persona" that people will buy from. You need to be known, liked and trusted. If you can also be perceived as the expert then you will leave your competitors eating your dust.
Now, to deliver the right "persona" you need to truly know your potential customers. Obviously, you need to know their demographics but you also need to know what causes them pain... their hopes... their dreams?
You can’t expect to communicate effectively with potential customers until you have the same frame of reference of the potential customers you are communicating with.
How do you do that? Perhaps, just ask them... survey them.
